How it all began…

Miss Parkers friend, opened a restaurant in Durham in July, 2004.  He was looking for someone to make banana pudding.  She told him that she could, but offered him an alternative dessert.  She told him that she could make her famous pound cake.  He was not open to the idea at first, but his son told her to just make it anyway.  The pound cake was a hit.  Miss Parker was elated when she received a call for whole cake. Miss Parker ventured out to local establishments to sell her cakes.  Miss Parkers cakes are now available in several local restaurants and shops

Miss Parker has a local in-home licensed bakery, which has been in operation for over four years.  She has taken her recipe and made many variations to offer you many flavors for your unique taste.  She also makes the pound cakes in a variety of sizes from a large 9 inch cake to the newest size available, a 3.5 oz. mini loaf.

Miss Parker has come up with this idea of making the “Mini Loaf” because so many of us are  watching what we eat, but still want just a little and that’s exactly what Miss Parkers “Mini Loaf” give you.  Just a little bit of sweetness, just a little bit of sinfulness and a lot of homemade taste.
